Glenn Gidel passed away on September 4, 2025, surrounded by his family. Glenn was born in 1942, in Davenport, Iowa, to parents Elmer and Amy Gidel. He grew up on a farm along with his 3 sisters Joyce, Carol and Mary and many animals. He graduated from Iowa State in 1964 with a degree in Engineering. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin law school in 1972. He married Linda Taylor after knowing her for 2 weeks in a Las Vegas ceremony and remained married for just shy of 60 years. Glenn served the United States Air Force in the Viet Nam war where he flew the F-105 Thunderchief completing 100 missions. After returning home, Glenn built a career in law, establishing himself as a respected real estate attorney. He is survived by his wife Linda Gidel, his 2 children Jeff Gidel and Cristi Aitelli, his sisters Joyce Garton-Natte, Carol Wrabl and Mary Van Hal, grandchildren Sam Gidel, Lilli Aitelli, Mia Aitelli, Lila Aitelli, nieces Michelle Van Hal, Marie Van Hal, Jill Gilreath and Laura Thompson, nephews Michael Van Hal, Matt Van Hal, Karl Wrabl and Jamie Wrabl. He was loved by all.

He will be laid to rest with military honors at the Dallas–Fort Worth National Cemetery.
