Douglas Brian Jones, 86, passed away at his home on Friday, November 21, 2025, after a long illness. He was born on July 11, 1939, in Jamestown, New York, to Richard Wilson Jones and Eva Adelia (Slater) Jones.
Douglas attended school in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Technical High School in 1958. He worked for General Motors in Arlington, Texas for 35 years and retired in 1997. He attended 120 hours of training to teach the Bob Ross Method of painting which he taught in his studio for 25 years. He did many shows of his art and many original paintings for others. He loved art. He was a member of Webb Baptist Church and The UAW in good standing.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years. Ginger Jones; son, Daniel Brian Jones, and wife, Christine; daughter, Angela Jones, Suzzi Haggard, and husband, Trey; son, Tony Bargsley, and wife, Carlene, and Darrell Trotter, and wife, Angela; brother, Allen Jones; and many grandchildren and beloved great grandchildren.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Dale Jones; daughter, Michelle Jones; granddaughter, Jessica Hurst; and brother, Bruce Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Crestview Missionary Baptist Church, 825 Southeast Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76018.
