Paulette Robinson

July 30, 1950 — July 30, 2025

Grandview

On her 75th birthday, Paulette Robinson peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior. Born on July 30, 1950, in Abilene, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Marvin Paul Rister and Dorothy Sunshine Lewallen, both of whom preceded her in death.

A proud graduate of Abilene High School, Class of 1968, Paulette dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her community. She was the devoted mother of Brent Robinson and Shelley Clark, and she reunited in marriage with her former husband and true love, James Earl Robinson.

Paulette’s life was defined by resilience, generosity, and an abiding Christian faith. A hardworking and devoted provider, she worked for many years as a bookkeeper at various law firms and took on additional roles at places like Home Depot and Cook Children’s Hospital, always putting the needs of her children first. As a single mother for many years, she remained ever-present, unwavering, and selfless in her love.

Faith was the cornerstone of Paulette’s life. She was a longtime member of Cana Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas, and she instilled her deep Christian values in her children and grandchildren. Her love of music was equally strong—she found joy in the Gaither Vocal Band, Elvis Presley, classic '50s rock and roll, and timeless hymns like How Great Thou Art and The Old Rugged Cross.

Paulette cherished time in nature and especially loved the Rocky Mountains and family trips to Red River, New Mexico. She enjoyed gardening, craft shows and celebrating the holidays with unmatched enthusiasm. Her home was always filled with laughter, twinkling lights, and festive decorations like her signature holiday earrings, the talking snowman, a giant stuffed turkey, and her cherished Santa Claus. Her sage dressing and famous chocolate pies became family legends, often sparking friendly debates over the last slice.

To her grandchildren, Christmas at Nana’s was nothing short of magical, overflowing stockings, home-cooked meals, and treasured traditions that will live on for years to come.

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin, and Dorothy; her husband, James Earl Robinson; her son, Bryan Paul Robinson; her siblings Dwayne Rister, Lonnie Rister, and Brenda Rister.

She is survived by her children: Brent Robinson (Heather) of Belton, Texas, and Shelley Clark (Robert) of Grandview, Texas; grandchildren: Michael and Addison Robinson of Valley View, Chase and Heather Robinson of Sanger, Hunter Robinson of Sanger, Casie Kammerdiener (fiancé Jay Rainwater) of Joshua, Katelyn Robinson of Burleson, and Archer Clark of Grandview; great-grandchildren: Kaelynn Williams, Braxton Page, Kinsley Page, Blakley Page, and Aurora Robinson; and her brother, Jerry Rister (Denise) of Abilene, Texas.

Paulette will be remembered for her fierce love, protective spirit, sentimental heart, and unwavering faith. She worked tirelessly, gave endlessly, and built a legacy of love that will live on in the lives of all who knew her.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed.” – Proverbs 31:28
