Donald Eugene Hunn

On October 13th, 2025, Donald Eugene Hunn, a devoted husband, loving family man, and faithful servant of Christ, peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior at the age of 92 in Dallas, Texas.

Born on August 16, 1933, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Lloyd Hunn and Tommie Hughes, Don was a man who exemplified what it meant to live a life of integrity, humility, and unwavering faith. Raised with modest means, Don began his journey with only $100 to his name, but through perseverance, hard work, and the grace of God, he built a life marked by service, excellence, and love.

A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Don earned his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering before continuing his education with a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University. His dedication to innovation and precision led him to a fulfilling career as an engineer at Lockheed, where he served for many years with commitment and excellence before retiring.

Don was married to the love of his life, Reva Joyce Hunn, for an extraordinary 69 years. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and shared faith. Their life together stood as a beacon of commitment and grace for all who knew them.

A devoted member of Central Bible Church, formerly known as Pantego Bible Church, Don’s life was deeply rooted in his Christian faith. He led by quiet example, showing the love of Christ through his actions, wisdom, and compassion. He was a faithful steward of the blessings God gave him and remained deeply committed to his church and community throughout his life.

Don is preceded in death by his father Lloyd and step-mother Lorene Hunn, his sisters Barbara Rafter and Norma McKay, brothers Lloyd Hunn Jr and Paul Fish, and bother-in-law Richard Bartula.

He is survived by his beloved wife Reva Hunn, and by a loving extended family who cherished him dearly, including his in-laws: Betty Bartula, Judy and Glenn Wright, Lela Hunn and siblings Mary Padgett, Larry Evans, Winnie Choate and Pat Perry.

He was a treasured uncle to many, including: Debbie and Mike O’Reilly, Jan and Trevor Rees-Jones, Allen and Cheryl Wright, Bryan and Lindsey Wright, Marc and Christine Hunn, Dee DeAnn and Robert Sumner, Todd and Jeanne Rafter, Suzette Kuban, and countless great-nieces and nephews, great great-nieces and nephews, and family friends who were touched by his kindness and unwavering support.

Don was a loyal follower of Texas A&M, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his Aggies. But beyond his professional accomplishments and personal passions, it was his steadfast character and godly spirit that left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His was a life well-lived—a life of purpose, perseverance, and deep faith. As we grieve the loss of this remarkable man, we do so with hope and assurance, knowing he is now in the eternal presence of the Lord he served so faithfully.

In place of flowers, the family lovingly invites contributions to the Central Storehouse—a ministry close to their hearts. This cherished charity reflects the deep roots the Hunn family has in Central Bible Church, once known as Pantego Bible Church, the spiritual home that has long nurtured their faith.
