Darlene Freeman Manning, 88, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, after a short illness. She was born on March 11, 1937, in Overbrook, Oklahoma.
Darlene was a seventy-year resident of Tarrant County and a devoted member of the churches of Christ throughout her life. She was a faithful member of the Woodland West Church of Christ for many years, where she built lasting friendships and served with a humble, loving heart.
She retired as a general clerk from Southwestern Bell and later volunteered at Arlington Memorial Hospital, joyfully serving in the gift shop. Darlene was known for her servant spirit, her beautiful smile, and her love of laughter. She lovingly cared for her paraplegic son, Devyn, for many years, demonstrating extraordinary devotion and grace. Above all, she loved her Lord and the people around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Manning, and sons Darin and Devyn Manning.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Woodland West Church of Christ in Arlington, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. the same day at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodland West Church of Christ General Ministry Fund or Hearts & Hands Fund.
Darlene’s humble spirit, steadfast faith, and loving example will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
