Dana Armour, 94, passed peacefully on December 16, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. Born on August 22, 1931, in Dallas, Texas, Dana moved to Arlington in 1945, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.
Dana was preceded in death by her three children, Larry Armour, Janet Combs, and Darsa Owens; her three brothers, Elvis Lam, Gerald Lam, and Gene Lam; and her parents, Claude D. Lam and Mary Etta Lam. She is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Krystle Clark, and her husband, Adam, along with two nieces, one nephew, and 8 great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A woman of many talents and quiet joys, Dana had a lifelong love of plants and gardening. She was an active member of the Arlington Garden Club for many years, where she shared her passion alongside many friends and her brother Gerald. Music was another great passion; she was an avid organ player who could often be found playing for hours at a time simply for the joy it brought her.
Dana grew up active in the Arlington First Baptist Church, where her faith and sense of community were deeply rooted. Her faith was a constant presence throughout her life and remained central to her daily routine. Even in later years, Dana found comfort and strength in Scripture, music, and worship, carrying her faith with her in quiet, steadfast ways. She cherished laughter, furniture restoration, crocheting, and photography, and she had a gift for finding joy in everyday moments.
Family was at the center of Dana’s life. She shared close bonds with her brothers, cousins, and extended family and treasured time spent together on the family farm in Webb, Texas, where many memories were made. Later in life, Dana lovingly took on the role of caregiver and guardian to her granddaughter, Krystle, raising her with selfless love, stability, and devotion. Her commitment to family never wavered.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Moore Memorial Gardens and Cemetery in Arlington.
To the old rugged cross she remained ever true, and now rests in the glory of her eternal home.
