Cheryl Edith Woodman, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. She was 74 years old. Cheryl was born on January 16, 1950, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Charles Hodges and Gladys Sosville Hodges. She spent her early years in Monson, Massachusetts, where she attended high school and developed her love for life and community.
Woody, a skilled cobbler and leatherworker, shared a love for craftsmanship with Cheryl, and together they built a life filled with hard work and passion. In 1995, they made a significant move to Texas, where they resided for 29 years. Cheryl continued her career by working at Nations Bank, which later became Bank of America, always bringing her dedication and commitment to every job she took on.
Both Cheryl and Woody were avid Harley-Davidson enthusiasts, finding joy and freedom in the open road. Their shared love for adventure and community brought them lasting friendships and countless memories.
Cheryl's kind heart, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and adventure.
She is survived by her loving sister, Becky Rutlege, sons, Dennis and his wife Linda Fountain, Rodd and his wife Christina Fountain, her 6 grandchildren, Jonathan, Rachael, Autumn, Amanda, Dylan, and Holly, her 7 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
