It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine “Francine” Williams, who departed from this world on July 5, 2025. Born in Belzoni, Mississippi, on April 18, 1950, to Rayford and Alberta Hawkins, Francine’s journey through life was one filled with love, compassion, and unwavering strength.
Francine was lovingly raised by her bonus parents, Beatrice and Taylor Williams, who instilled in her the values of hard work and kindness. She married Oliver Williams Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years of love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising three daughters: Andrea Whitehead, Tanya Burt, and Erica King. Francine took great pride in her role as a mother and continued to nurture and support her family throughout her life. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Brandon Silva, Kymberlin King, Alexander Silva, Makayla Whitehead, Kamryn Burt, Cedric King Jr., Marley Burt, Jordyn Burt, Keiarah King, and Madyson King, as well as her great-grandchildren, Anaya King and Sariah King.
Francine’s commitment to learning and personal growth was exemplified by her education at Santa Monica College and Notre Dame. She devoted her professional life to serving others as an administrative assistant for Federal Services, where her diligence and positive spirit touched the lives of many.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Francine’s life and legacy at Wade Family Funeral Home. The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service honoring Francine's life will take place on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at the DFW National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
Though she may no longer walk among us, Francine's kindness, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In her memory, we encourage everyone to embrace each moment with love and compassion, just as she did.
