Carl Wayne Banks, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, step grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Arlington at the age of 89. Born on November 27, 1936, to Magdelina and J.D. Banks, Carl lived a life filled with cherished moments and profound love for his family.
For 39 wonderful years, Carl shared his life with his devoted wife, Karen Banks. Their shared love for the great outdoors often drew them to their cabin in Ruidoso, Mexico, where they found peace in the beauty of nature, delighting in the sights and sounds of wildlife around them.
Carl had a lighthearted spirit and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He found joy in watching classic westerns, particularly the iconic show "Gunsmoke," and indulged in his passion for visiting casinos, where he applied his serious approach to gaming. Beyond his interests, he had a fondness for Blue Bell ice cream, a true testament to his appreciation for life's sweet moments.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Banks; daughter, Tambrea Roessler (Rob); stepson, Greg Warriner; grandchildren Stephanie Alvarado (Jacob), Blake Roessler (Danielle); step granddaughter, Emily Powell (Zach); great grandchildren, Blakelyn, Brooks, Bennett, Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Magdelina and J.D. Banks.
Carl Wayne Banks will be remembered not only for the legacy he leaves behind but for the love and laughter he brought into the lives of those who knew him.
