Brandon "Shane" Burk

Brandon Shane Burk, affectionately known as “Shane,” was a man of deep faith, steadfast devotion, and extraordinary love for his family. Born on August 4, 1975, in McKinney, Texas, Shane devoted his life to serving Jesus, loving his wife and children, and faithfully helping those around him. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of faith, selflessness, service, and unwavering love.

Shane was the beloved husband of Andra Webb Burk and the devoted father of Faith Jewel Burk Mills and her husband, Andrew Mills, Noah Andrew Burk, and Grace Ember Jewel Burk. Shane considered Andrew one of his own and loved him as a son, not simply as a son-in-law. His children, including Andrew, were among the greatest joys of his life. He adored Faith, Andrew, Noah, and Grace beyond words and treasured the family they had built together. Above all else, Shane loved Andra with his whole heart. His devotion to his wife and children was one of the most evident and beautiful things about him, and he cherished every moment he was blessed to share with them.

Shane’s faith was the foundation of his life. He graduated from Arlington Church Academy and later attended ITT, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. For many years, he was a devoted member of Arlington Church of God. In his twenties, he became a youth pastor and served through audio-visual ministry. He later served as a care minister at Grace Place, and in recent years, he attended Grace Community Church.

In 2018, Shane and Andra became directors of a nonprofit Christian homeschool volleyball organization, combining their love of family, faith, and service to encourage and support others. Shane was a true servant leader who generously gave his time, talents, and energy to strengthen his church and community. Whether through his work as a Realtor, his engineering work, or simply lending a helping hand, he was always willing to go above and beyond for those he loved.

Shane was known for his honesty, loyalty, dependability, and strong work ethic. He had a generous heart and a steady strength that others could rely upon. He cared deeply for his family and went to extraordinary lengths to provide for and care for those around him. He lovingly helped care for both mothers throughout their lives, often putting the needs of others before his own. His selflessness was not something he simply spoke about; it was how he lived.

Shane and Andra’s journey as parents was deeply meaningful to them. Through years of faith, fasting, and constant prayer, they believed God blessed them with three incredible miracles: Faith, Noah, and Grace. Each of their children was a precious answer to prayer and a blessing Shane treasured with his entire heart. He embraced fatherhood completely and took immense pride and joy in being a husband and father. His love for Faith, Andrew, Noah, and Grace was unconditional, unwavering, and evident in everything he did.

Outside of his work and ministry, Shane had many passions and interests. He was a serious tightliner and loved fishing, spending time outdoors whenever he had the opportunity. He also loved hunting and enjoyed every opportunity to get out and pursue it. Shane was hugely obsessed with guns and had built quite a collection over the years, something that reflected a genuine passion he carried throughout his life. These hobbies were a part of who Shane was, but those who knew him best will remember far more than the things he enjoyed. They will remember his big heart, his steady presence, his willingness to serve, his devotion to his family, and his unwavering commitment to Jesus.

Shane is survived by his beloved wife, Andra Webb Burk; his children, Faith Jewel Burk Mills and her husband, Andrew Mills, whom Shane loved as a son, Noah Andrew Burk, and Grace Ember Jewel Burk; his mother, Carolyn Newby Burk; his mother-in-law, Jan Webb; his brother, David Burk and his wife, Susan; and his beloved extended family, including Richard and Adi, Dayna, Mike, Brendan and Shelley, and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including Miranda and her husband, Daniel; Dakota and his wife, Stefania; Meredith and her husband, JB, and their daughters, AmberLynn and Alora; Haven; Hansen; Riley; and Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Burk; his father-in-law, James Webb; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Smith.

Shane’s greatest achievement was not found in a title, career, or accomplishment, but in the life he lived through faithfulness to Jesus, devotion to his family, and service to others. He loved deeply, gave generously, and remained steadfast in his faith. More than anything, he loved Andra and his children with his whole heart. His family was his greatest joy, and the love he poured into them will remain one of the most lasting parts of his legacy.

Shane will be remembered for his faith, his strength, his generosity, his willingness to serve, and the countless ways he put the people he loved before himself. His memory will live on through Andra, Faith, Andrew, Noah, and Grace, through the family he cherished, through the people he served, and through the many lives he touched. His life was a testimony to the power of faith, the importance of family, and the lasting impact of a man who chose to love deeply and live selflessly.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with the location to be announced. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.
