Betty Sue Baker passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 21, 2024, at the age of 82 in Arlington, Texas. Sue is preceded in death by, according to her, “almost everyone”. Sue left behind her husband of 64 years, George Baker, and three sons, Benjamin Baker and spouse Susan of Denison, TX, and David Baker, and Steven Baker of Arlington, TX. She is also the grandmother to four: Kirsten Nicole Seargeant of Denison Texas, Erin Cox of Denison, TX, Taylor Baker of Dallas, TX and Zachary Baker of Denison, TX. Sue is also the Great grandmother to six: Jaydin, Jacob and Julian Seargeant, and Caleb, Sadie, and Millie Cox.
Born and raised in Denison, TX, and a long-time Arlington resident Sue had a career in the Insurance Industry prior to going to work for the AISD. Sue was a woman of incredible faith, a dry sense of humor and the patience of a saint… Unless you pushed her buttons. As George would say, tread very carefully around that button, and her boys would confirm, you need to be pretty careful and not push it. Her grandkids would tell you that button’s not that scary and according to her great grandkids, “what button”. We’ll miss you, Gigi.
