Arlington

Elizabeth Louise “Betty Lou” Moore, age 91, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. She was born on May 2, 1934, in Cawker City, Kansas, to Frank and Elizabeth Brock.

Betty was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, a respected teacher, and a beloved friend. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and dedicated 25 years to teaching and inspiring students in the Arlington Independent School District. Her dedication and compassion left a lasting mark on generations of young learners and colleagues alike.

A faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Betty lived her faith through service. She was active in the Retired Teachers Association and the church Bereavement Committee, always ready to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. Her life was a beautiful reflection of her deep faith, humility, and love for others.

Betty’s joyful spirit shone through in everything she did. She treasured time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s school and sporting events. She also loved gardening and sharing her warmth, kindness, and laughter with all who knew her.

She will be remembered for her gentle strength, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to her family, faith, and community—a life lived with purpose, grace, and love.

Betty is survived by her children Susan Moore, Mark Moore, Joe Moore (Janet), and Brad Moore (Melissa); 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Ann Davis (Jerry), August Brock (Bernice), Fran Paxton (Jack), John Brock (Cathleen), Norma Jean Munsch, Kathy Blau (Mike), Doris Tompkins (Mark); sister-in-law Pat Brock; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Harold D. Moore; son Michael Moore; grandson Tyler Moore; great-grandchildren Cadence Y. Moore and Brodie D. Moore; parents Frank and Elizabeth Brock; brother Robert Brock; and brother-in-law Charlie Munsch.

Betty Lou Moore will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
