Barbara Carol Preston

Barbara Carol Preston, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on March 7, 1952, in Pueblo, Colorado, she was the cherished daughter of Paul and Janice Price. Barbara’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and her passion for all things beautiful. 

Living her later years in Arlington, Texas, Barbara was an active member of Woods Chapel, where she found joy in her spiritual community. Known for her kindness and her gift-giving love language, she had a unique ability to make every occasion special for those around her. Her creativity flourished through crafts, shopping, and making exquisite floral arrangements, which filled her life—and the lives of others—with color and life. 

A true animal lover, Barbara especially adored dogs, often finding solace and companionship in their company. Her home was an oasis of warmth, reflecting her nurturing spirit and her desire to cultivate joy in the lives of her loved ones. 

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Angela Preston (Deana); her son, JD Preston; her cherished grandchildren, Shelby, Clay, Brody (Angie), and Brooke Preston; her loving great grandchildren, Dallas Preston and Tydus Preston; and her beloved siblings, Dan Price and Lloyd Hilburn (Sherrie).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Janice Price, and her siblings, Eddie Price, Mary Jane Anderson, and Carrie Ann Price. 

A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2pm at Wade Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory. The family will invite all to join in reflection of Barbara’s vibrant spirit and to share stories that encapsulate the beautiful essence of her life. 

Barbara will be remembered not only for her loving presence but also for the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those she encountered. In her passing, she has gone to join her family, and although she will be greatly missed, her legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
