IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Audrey Denise
Ross
November 16, 1976 – November 16, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Audrey Denise Ross, who entered eternal rest on her 49th birthday, November 16, 2025. Born in Beeville, Texas, Audrey later made her home in Arlington, where she built a remarkable career, and an even more remarkable legacy, as an athletic trainer with the Arlington Independent School District.
Audrey earned her Bachelor’s Degree and devoted her life to uplifting, guiding, and motivating young athletes to reach their full potential. She had an extraordinary gift for connecting with her students, advocating for them, and celebrating every victory, big or small. Her dedication left an indelible mark on countless young lives, and her colleagues knew her as a dependable, spirited, and deeply caring presence.
Raised in the country and growing up alongside boys who “toughened her up,” Audrey carried a fearless competitive spirit throughout her life. She attended a small school in Jasper, Arkansas, where those early experiences helped shape her grit, humor, and unshakeable confidence.
Audrey embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She loved basketball, concerts, theme parks, shopping, and traveling, and she especially enjoyed attending sporting events, from high school matchups to college games to professional arenas. She cherished going to the movies, and movie-theater popcorn was one of her greatest pleasures. Her favorite comforts, lasagna, Sweet Pea and A Thousand Wishes perfumes, and her treasured James Avery pieces, reflected her vibrant and expressive personality. Loud, outgoing, carefree, and full of life, Audrey brought laughter and warmth into every room she entered.
Above all, Audrey will be remembered for her heart. She lived to support her students, guiding them through challenges and celebrating their successes as if they were her own. She kept up with her former athletes and student athletic trainers, following their journeys and cheering them on long after they left her training room. To her, they were “her babies,” and she loved them fiercely.
Audrey was a giver in every sense. She put others’ needs before her own, never letting anyone go without, and always opening her home and her heart to those in need. Her compassion extended to her beloved pets as well; she adored dogs and cared for many cherished fur babies over the years.
Audrey’s life was a beautiful blend of strength, joy, compassion, and unwavering love for others. Though she is no longer with us, the impact of her generosity and spirit will continue to live on in every life she touched.
And most of all, her daughter Avery was her “why”, the center of her world and the reason behind everything she did.
To know Audrey was to love Audrey.
