Armando Nunez

Armando Nunez, 51, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2025. Born on April 29, 1974, in Laredo, Texas, he was the beloved son of Antonio and Julia Nunez.

Armando was a proud high school graduate who once earned the title of “Most Handsome” in high school—something his family never let him forget. He spent many years working with Johnson Equipment Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and easygoing personality.

A lifelong fan of soccer and the Texas Longhorns, Armando found his greatest joy in the simple things: cheering on his team, spending time outdoors, and playing with his grandchildren. He had a huge heart, never met a stranger, and had a way of making everyone feel like family.

Armando is survived by his loving wife, Mary Nunez; children, Amanda Rodriguez and husband Paul, Alyssa Nunez, and Armando Nunez Jr.; parents, Antonio and Julia Nunez; two brothers; four sisters; and his cherished grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18, at 2:00 PM at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas.
