ARLINGTON -- Arlene Marie Yancey, 82, passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, in Arlington. Funeral: Noon Friday, Jan. 9, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Rev. Bobby Bridges officiating. Interment: 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane A. Arlene was born on Oct. 1, 1932, in Glen Elder, Kan., to Loren L. Slate and Esther Reinke Slate. She was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted to her family. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Sam L. Yancey. Survivors: Son, Kirk Yancey; daughter, Lisa Taylor and husband, Terrell; grandchildren, Tara Valdez and husband, Nick, and Kayla Taylor.
