Anna Zeigler

September 9, 1933 — August 20, 2025

Anna Zeigler, 91, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025.

Born on September 9, 1933, Anna grew up in Northeast Texas and attended Detroit High School. She went on to graduate from East Texas State University in Commerce, where she met her first husband, Thomas Timothy Ballard, who preceded her in death.

Anna devoted her career to education, teaching physical education at Lamar High School in Arlington. She was proud to encourage countless students to live active, healthy lives and to bring their best each day.

In June 1985, Anna married Ralph Zeigler, and together they built a life marked by love, steadiness, and family. After retiring, Anna and Ralph moved to Paris, Texas, in September 1989, where they enjoyed a quieter pace and time with loved ones. They later returned to Arlington in February 2023, and Anna made her home at Lynridge of Arlington Assisted Living.

Anna was preceded in death by her first husband, Timothy Ballard; her son, Timothy Ballard; and her daughter, Teresa Laughlin.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Zeigler; her grandson, Garren Laughlin and his wife, Tori; her granddaughter, Renea Tolson and her husband, Brad; great-grandchildren Taylan, Levi, Logan, Emrey, and Brenson; and her son-in-law, Reny Laughlin.

Anna’s legacy lives on in the family she loved and the many students whose lives she touched through her years in the classroom and gym.
