Anna Marie Wood Rodriguez

October 6, 1949 — July 19, 2025

Anna Marie Wood Rodriguez was born on October 6, 1949, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Marion Potter Glinkerman and John Wood Sr. She was lovingly raised in Fort Worth, Texas, by her mother and Darrell Arden Glinkerman, the man she proudly called Dad.

Anna graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1968 and later married the love of her life, Ricky Rodriguez. Together, they shared 52 beautiful years of marriage filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion. They built a life rooted in love, faith, and family.

Anna was a devoted mother to her three daughters:
- Gayla Kay DeCosta, whom she joyfully reconnected with later in life, and her three sons, Taylor, Casey, and Aaron.
- Tracy Diane Winkles, married to Allan Winkles, and their sons, Clayton David and Connor Gene.
- Debra Suzanne Rodriguez Powledge, married to Jackie Powledge, and their son, Rendon Coy.

Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother, lovingly known as "Oma." She poured her heart into her grandchildren's lives-supporting their passions, attending games, sewing rodeo patches, teaching them to drive, and always showing up with a warm hug and maybe a snickerdoodle or two.

Anna had a knack for hospitality and a heart for serving others. Whether it was baking a German chocolate cake, preparing a meal for someone in need, or simply offering a kind word, she never said no to anyone. She was a giver, a caretaker, and a loyal friend who never met a stranger.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures-adult coloring books, recipe magazines, fruity cocktails, chips and queso, and desserts (always more than one to-go). She loved to sew, play darts with Rick in their league, and spend time at the casino or cheering on the Texas Rangers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Throughout her life, Anna held several roles, including administrative assistant, retail clerk, and cash office attendant at Traders Village. But her creativity shined brightest when she began decorating wedding cakes with her niece Lisa. Once her grandchildren came along, she gladly put it all aside to devote herself fully to them.

Anna's commitment to community was evident in her service as a past officer of the Pioneer Riding Club, District 7, and the National Association of Riding Clubs and Sheriff's Posse, as well as the Fort Worth Dart Association.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Rick Rodriguez; her daughters Gayla, Tracy, and Debra; her grandchildren Taylor, Casey, Aaron, Connor, and Rendon; her godson Eddie Gonzalez; her siblings John Wood Jr., Shyrl Glinkerman, and Penny Dorsey; her treasured weenie dog, Mina, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Wood Sr., Darrell and Marion Glinkerman; her sister Darla Norris; her grandson Clayton David Winkles; and her in-laws Pete and Celia Rodriguez.

Anna was a Christian woman who embodied compassion, kindness, and a servant's heart. Her favorite saying, "I'm on my way," was more than just a phrase-it was her lifelong promise to always be there for those she loved.
