Alice Treyon Clary

Alice Treyon Clary passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the age of 87. Alice was born December 24, 1938, in Sydney, TX to Spencer and Newton Scott Eudy. Alice grew up in Brownwood, TX and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1957. She went on to Abilene Medical Records school and obtained a medical records certification. Alice married her great love Charles W. Clary on February 1, 1958.

Alice and Charles first settled in DeLeon, TX. Alice supported her husband in his early teaching and coaching career that eventually led the family to move to Austin, TX. After Charles surrendered to the ministry in 1971, they moved to Fort Worth, TX where he began seminary and she became the clinic aide nurse at Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary. A pastorate position soon opened in Sunset, TX and Alice began to learn about being a pastor’s wife in the country. The quiet country life was short lived as the family then moved so that Charles could become one of the Assistant Pastors at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. In the fall of 1973, Charles and Alice began their 30 years of service to Tate Springs Baptist Church in Arlington, TX where Charles pastored and Alice served her church family faithfully. 

Alice worked for AISD as a clinic nurse and later attendance records clerk at Martin High School in Arlington, TX where she worked for over 20 years and impacted countless students and staff. Alice loved people well through her work at the high school and her role as pastor’s wife. Alice and Charles retired to Ruidoso, NM in 2001 where she worked 13 years as office manager for Ruidoso Realtors. Alice was introduced to the Red Hat Society and became “Queen Mother” of the Ruidoso chapter where she enjoyed many years hosting tea parties and caring for women in the community.

Alice served the Lord and lived her life faithfully loving her husband and daughters and teaching her girls to trust Jesus and follow Him with their lives. Her life was marked by humble servanthood, deep faith in God and unending love for her family. Alice celebrated every marriage and birth with great rejoicing!

Alice was preceded in death by her parents Spencer and Newton Eudy; her husband, Charles Clary; brother SM Eudy; sister-in-law Pat Eudy; sister Judy Woods; and brother-in-law Tommie Woods. Alice is survived by her children Jana Donaldson and husband Russell Donaldson, Lynne Clary, Jenny Rampy and husband Shawn Rampy, Laura Green and husband Dale Green, Maxine Steele and Marcia Clary. Alice found great delight in her 24 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren!
