Our Services: Preplanning

Usually the task of arranging for a funeral or memorial service falls
to a small group or to a single survivor who may have little or no
warning. These people are most often unprepared for the many
decisions they need to face.
For this reason, planning ahead may be a good decision. Making your
wishes known in advance can help greatly in carrying them out.
Discussing your wishes with your family is important as the funeral
affects them most directly. You may wish to leave your requests
flexible to allow survivors to make appropriate arrangements for the
fulfillment of their own emotional needs.
Prefunding a funeral service is another way to lessen the future
burden on your family members. It allows an individual to arrange a
service at today's prices, thus preventing escalating costs. It also
avoids later financial expense, at a time when family finances are
often unsure.
Sometimes people say in an effort to spare their loved ones expense
or burden, "Don't go to any trouble for me - no funeral or any of
that." Reality is that family members do not realize that the
simplest way may not be the best way for their loved ones. There are
no shortcuts in the grieving process. A meaningful service
personalized to the needs and desires of the family will be an
important occasion for family and friends to remember the one who
dies and to share the service together.
Please feel free to call Wade Funeral Home at any time to ask
questions about funerals and/or advance planning.
